Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages lies to the north of Alstonefield in the heart of the Peak District National Park, close to the River Dove. Alstonefield lies amidst the beautiful south western area of the Peak District between the towns of Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock and Ashbourne. The area is famed for its stunning scenery with rolling hills dissected by beautiful valleys with Dovedale and the Manifold valley lying immediately east and west of the village. The area offers great scope for walking riding and other country pursuits. Local villages provide a variety of everyday facilities and Alstonefield has a charming village inn. Alstonefield lies close to Hartington (4 miles away) which also has tearooms, shops and a cheese factory (famous for its Stilton cheese). The rest of the Peak District towns are all within easy driving distance and provide an excellent range of shops, recreational and sightseeing opportunities. For those of you who want the bustle of a city, the larger centers of Derby, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester are all within easy reach.

Surrounded by 5 acres of delightful grounds and reached along its own long drive, Paddock House Farm Holiday Cottages nestles peacefully in a secluded spot between the famous Peakland villages of Alstonefield and Hartington, renowned for its cheese shop. Arranged around a courtyard, with 4 other holiday lets, Oak cottage enjoy uninterrupted views across the Manifold Valley. Stabling and grazing for horses is also available (at cost) by direct arrangement with the owner. This wonderful rural setting is a walkers paradise and there are ample opportunities to explore the great outdoors. Golf, riding and fishing nearby. There are excellent cycle trails along Dovedale and the Manifold Valley.
