Sue offers school pupils one to one tuition in the comfort of their own home in German to AS and A level and French to GCSE. Tution can benefit pupils and students of all abilities. It can help those who are struggling to grasp the basics, the high flyers who need challenging and can help the mid-range pupil to step up and become more proficient.

For adults, she can offer German plus beginner’s French and Spanish (ideal for your holiday needs).  Adult tuition can be either one to one or small groups.

If your first language is not English, Sue can help here also as she offers tuition in English as a Foreign Language. So if you need to improve in order to impress at an interview or just wish to be able to speak better English, please contact her.

Condensed learning for your youngster.

In the classroom, the teacher is seldom able to spend more than a total of a few minutes with each pupil. In a one to one situation with a tutor, the entire session is dedicated to the one student. This means that they have instant feedback about their understanding and can work more intensively on other aspects such as grammar and pronunciation. In addition, any questions that your child has concerning the work can be asked and dealt with immediately.

Customised learning experience.

In the classroom, a good teacher will have differentiated the work to allow access to all levels. It is, however, impossible for any classroom teacher to differentiate every lesson completely (not a criticism, it is a reflection of the lack of time available) i.e. to have beginner, intermediate and advanced lessons running at the same time. With a one to one tutor, each session will be pitched exclusively for the level of your youngster.

A little about Sue

Sue is a languages’ graduate with 12 years teaching experience, both in schools and as a private tutor. Her first foreign language is German but she can offer French and Spanish as well.

For school pupils and students, Sue offers tailor-made languages tuition. The sessions can be focused on improvement of the basics to improve classroom understanding and performance, recovering lost ground after long term absence or revision for mock and actual exams.

She has taught both German and Spanish to adults and is comfortable teaching individuals and/or groups.

Sue is available to visit you in your home or to welcome you into hers, whichever is more convenient for you.
