Shopping in the Peak District is more than just the usual tourist arts and crafts shops, for example, visit the Peak Village at Rowsley where you can buy candles, chocolates, books, outdoors equipment and clothing from factory outlets, other food, craft shops, music and more.

For designer clothing such as Jaeger and Alexon, DeBradlei Mill at Belper is a great place to visit. There are a large number of real bargains. There is often Royal Robbins and Hawkshead and other outdoors clothing at bargain prices. They have a large range of shoes and men’s clothing also.

Both Peak Village and DeBradlei Mill are conveniently placed for the visitor to the Peak District, they are on the A6 so finding them is easy.

Hathersage is perhaps the place to go for the best choice of outdoors equipment and clothing as there is a branch of CCC and Outside (Outside are also at Calver), whilst along the road to Hope you will find the other major outdoors equipment supplier Hitch n’Hike, tucked away behind a garden centre shortly after the Bamford turn.
