Situated at Crich, just off the A6, the Tramway Village offers a great day out for all the family. It is the home of the National Tramway Museum and your entrance fee entitles you to as many rides on the restored trams as you want during your visit. The buildings include the old Derby Assembly Rooms, moved here during the redevelopment of the City centre and galleries that allow you to see the trams undergoing restoration. There is a large exhibition hall, indoor play area, shop, tea rooms and much more. The site is overlooked by an impressive cliff upon which Crich Stand has been built. This is a memorial lighthouse which can be seen for miles around. Nearby Crich was the fictitious ‘Cardale’ of the TV series ‘Peak Practice. Click on the links below for more information: |
