Pubs in Derbyshire and the Peak District
Pub walks are a popular way to explore the Peak District and Derbyshire. There are a huge variety of pubs within the area. It doesn’t matter whether you like real ale, lager, fizzy cold keg beer or cocktails – you should be able to find a pub to suit your taste.
Many of the pubs now offer restaurant quality food and accommodation. We used to have a list, however, pubs come and go, change hands and character. Sorry, but I just don’t have the time to keep on top of things so have deleted the list rather than supply you with out of date information.

Walks based on Peak District and Derbyshire Pubs
Heading to the pub is a great way to end a Peak District walk. Even better is to do a circular walk from a pub, so you get a visit before and after! There are plenty of easy walks as well as serious high level walks that can incorporate a hostelry. I realise that many of you will want to take your dog, so don your boots and get out into the Peak district and Derbyshire.
Not sure where to go? New to the area or visiting for the first time? Here are a selection of books from Amazon that describe some pub based walks with and without dogs.

Disclaimer: Remember to prepare and dress appropriately for your pub walk. Peak District weather can change quite suddenly, especially on the higher ground. Always carry a walkers pocket first aid kit and please, please, please, don’t call out mountain rescue for trivial reasons, there are plenty of real emergencies for them to deal with.
