Corporate Sports Massage

A significant number of people have back, neck, shoulder and forearm strain caused by their occupation. In particular those who sit at a desk all day, hunched over a computer. By accessing a corporate sports massage service proactive employers can support their employees by addressing these issues in the workplace.

Janine has experience providing this service to Baker Shepherd Gillespie, an ecological consultancy firm based in Bakewell, whose staff experienced many positive benefits.

Many people still feel that you have to be young, sporty or injured to benefit from a sports massage. Bringing this service into the workplace can also promote the benefits to these people and make them realize that sports massage is for everyone.

Benefits from a visit to your workplace may include the following:

• Reduced absenteeism, especially for back & stress related issues
• Increased employee morale
• Lowered stress levels
• Decrease in ‘over-use’ injuries (Repetitive Strain Injury)
• Provides an incentive to potential employees
• Provides staff access to professional sports massage at their workplace for their personal injuries that normally would have caused them to take the day off work.

Massage sessions are 20 minute slots which minimises time spent away from the desk but gives enough time to work on tight muscles and energise the individual.

Cost

Minimum of 3 people in each workplace. Price will depend on location and number of people wanting treatment. Please call to discuss if you are interested.

If your company has a Corporate Scheme with Health Shield, your employees can claim the cost of the massage back through the scheme. Only treatment delivered by Level 4 MSMA practitioners is eligible to be claimed back.
